About Henson Crisp
We have been advising clients for over 13 years. Most of our new clients come to us through recommendations. These may come from our existing clients and their families, accountant or solicitor. Our financial advisers have over 50 years experience working in financial services. Some families have been clients of ours for over 20 years. Our advisers now acting for 3 generations of the same family.
Our success depends entirely on the financial success of our clients. Success is ensuring we share a long-term collaboration. The majority of our clients have come from personal recommendations. This can be it from existing clients, client family members and friends. We also are referred by solicitor firms and accountancy practices. Our fee income incentivises us to provide ongoing, high-level support to our clients over the long term. We are not into quick gains. We are looking to give our clients the best long term results and the highest levels of service.
We have grown organically over the years. Our founder Jonathon Crisp initially worked with national and regional practices before starting the Henson Crips business. Initially working to servicing private clients from a home office, this was followed by the opening of offices in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire, and London. Our financial advisers have built on the original principles of understanding the long-term needs of our clients and their families and businesses, not by selling policies.
We take professionalism and compliance very seriously. Independent compliance officers ensure that we remain focussed on client objectives and Treating Customers Fairly (TCF – a key component of the Financial Conduct Authority’s agenda). This is in addition to statutory compliance with all Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) regulations.
Our financial advisers have a wealth of experience to help our clients achieve their financial goals. Supporting them is a dynamic office team who follow the same study path as our financial advisers. So while you have a dedicated adviser, you can be sure that no matter who you speak to in our office, your requirements are met with friendliness, approachability and professionalism.
Private and Corporate Clients
Over the last 12 years the business has grown and we now advise on approaching £150m of funds, with a mixture of private clients, charities, owner managed businesses and pension funds trusting us with their financial wellbeing.
So that we can provide the best possible service to our clients all of our staff are encouraged, supported and funded to take exams along with further training relevant to the role they do. The majority of our senior staff are promoted from within the business, so clients get to know them, and the person they are dealing with.

All advisers hold up to date Statements of Professional Standing with the Chartered Insurance Institute and we have two advisers who are affiliated to the society of trust and estate practitioners (STEP).
