Our Team Peterborough Independent Financial Advisers

About me

In 2007, whilst anticipating the arrival of my youngest son, Callum, I established Henson Crisp Ltd. I spend my time both advising clients on all aspects of financial planning and running the business. I am proud to say that some of my clients have been with me for 25 years and this ties in with my belief that a long term view on investment and pension planning is very important. Being able to work with clients and multiple generations of a family allows me to perform my role of ensuring the best outcomes for families now and for future generations.

As the Managing Director I really do enjoy working with each and every one of my clients and colleagues, with everyone offering their own challenges and unique perspectives. When I’m out of office, I do miss the day to day interactions I have with the rest of the team and I am very proud of the atmosphere we have cultivated over the years which allows us to perform to the best of our abilities for you, the clients. Very often my clients are business owners who may be planning for or at retirement and want to ensure that they have sufficient assets and income to do what they want when the time comes to slow down or retire. Alternatively, they could be already retired and want to pass wealth on to future generations tax efficiently whilst ensuring they have enough for the future themselves.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time outdoors and helping to manage a national nature reserve to ensure it can be enjoyed in future years by generations to come. I also really enjoy spending time in the kitchen, and when possible cooking outdoors, with the most recent addition being a Tandoor to go with the pizza oven that we all enjoy using as a family.

About me:

I have been working for Henson Crisp for the last 10 years, increasing my time on the job as the business has grown, and as Jonathon and I’s two sons Ethan and Callum have rapidly grown up meaning they need me less (though more still than they’d like to think!), with it my job to process all the remunerations the company receive and alongside the accounts administration. I work in the office, once or twice a week, and thoroughly enjoy being part of the friendly team that we have created; though the bulk of my work is done at home; especially needed with having 3 boys (Jonathon included) to keep in line around the house. Thankfully we all share a love of cooking at home and take turns cooking and trying new dishes.

Weekends are typically spent on football side-lines cheering on the boys on as they both play for our local village team; I’m a Liverpool supporter however which can sometimes be a bone of contention in the office. Any spare time I manage to get to myself I like to spend cycling and exercising, particularly Power Wave and Tabata classes.

About me:

Aside from Jonathon and Jane, I am the longest serving staff member of Henson Crisp having originally started as an administrator in May 2013, although it certainly does not feel that long! After leaving university, I worked at a local IFA in Deeping before moving to a role at Diligenta, where I administered a closed book of equity release plans. So, I have worked in the financial services industry for 11 years. I was promoted to Operations Manager in July 2015 and I am in charge of managing our team, quality checking their work and orchestrating their movements, which I thoroughly enjoy. Alongside the day to day running of the office, I also attend meetings with Jonathon to allow me to act as point of referral for clients, which is great as I get to build my own relationships with them, and even enjoy the odd nice lunch or two! Outside of work, I have spent a large amount of my time recently planning my upcoming wedding to my fiance Simon, so in the fleeting moments of calm, I love to walk and play with my beautiful Golden Labrador, Madden.

Our Team Peterborough Independent Financial Advisers

About me:

I joined Henson Crisp in October 2021, having worked in the banking industry for 8 years. My role at Henson Crisp is widely varied, from building and maintaining relationships with both new and existing clients, shadowing both Jonathon and Duncan in their meetings as a trainee adviser, and supporting them further with paraplanning and admin. I have also been involved in our marketing, and have started to write regular blog posts for the website and our associated social media, an area which I am helping to expand upon. Henson Crisp attracted my attention as the culture truly follows the same values as my own and I could instantly feel that as I walked through the door. The whole team are helpful, friendly, and put the client at the heart of everything they do.

Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my friends and family, eating good food and looking after my two sausage dogs (Arnold and Stanley). I enjoy going on holiday, preferably somewhere hot, and like to have projects ongoing in and around my home.

About me:

After completing my Diploma in Financial Planning, I joined Henson Crisp in Autumn 2023. I am now very much looking forward to providing comprehensive financial planning advice to both our corporate and retail clients. Before joining, I spent almost a decade as a Mortgage and Protection Advisor, establishing a proven track record of consistently delivering excellent customer service and client outcomes. A professional connection recommended Henson Crisp, and as soon as I approached them, I was drawn to the fact that they put the needs of clients at the forefront of all business decisions. I’m now very proud to be part of their growing and award-winning team.

Outside of work, I love to travel and see new places; New Zealand, Japan and Thailand are some of the most interesting places I’ve visited. I also like to holiday closer to home, and as a fan of the great outdoors, you can sometimes find me walking in the Peak District or in the mountains of the Republic of Ireland, where my family are from.

Perhaps my greatest passion is sport (sadly, mainly as a spectator now), but Aston Villa football club remains a big part of my life!

Favourite Food – Anything cooked on the BBQ (though maybe it is the summer weather I like most!)
Favourite Place – Villa Park
Favourite Book/Film – Nelson Mandela, A Long Walk to Freedom
Favourite Music – UB40 remains my favourite band, but I like 1990s Brit Pop too, with Oasis and Blur as particular favourites.

Our Team Peterborough Independent Financial Advisers

About me:

I originally joined as an administrator in April 2016 and was here for a year before leaving to solo travel around Europe for 6 months. Upon my return to the country in October 2017, I helped during the busy Christmas period and decided to re-join pro-rata in January 2018 whilst combining this with other forms of work. At this time I was in charge of projects, with a focus on reviewing investments held on the platform Elevate. In September 2018, after a swift discussion with Jonathon and Georgina I decided to return work full time as Jonathon’s Paraplanner. A decision I am very glad we made and one in hindsight I wish I’d made earlier. I very much enjoy my role and am keen to keep progressing within it; I enjoy coming into work each day, something I never could have imagined saying at any other place of work. My main roles include conducting research, producing illustrations and technical reports, and dealing with ongoing client investments. Having fulfilled a number of different roles within the company, I am also involved in the training of new staff to get them up to speed.

About me:

I joined Henson Crisp as an administrator in September 2022. My experience lies in South Africa where I had 15 years in the financial industry. My main roles at Henson Crisp include day to day admin in the office, preparing of portfolio reports, collating and preparing application forms and assisting our team of advisers and paraplanner.

I have joined an amazing company and love working for Henson Crisp. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. Our clients have great relationships with all members of staff and we are always receiving compliments from them. We have recently been recognised as Peterborough’s Small Business of the Year 2022 and I am so proud to be part of this team.

I recently emigrated to the UK with my husband and young son. We love exploring this country with most weekends going on walks or cycling only to find something beautiful around every corner – from the beautiful buildings, churches, homes and parks to the lakes and forests in my neighbourhood. There is always something to keep us occupied! I also love reading and going to the movies.

About me:

I’m the newbie at Henson Crisp, having joined the company in December 2023. I have over 20 years’ experience working in the financial services industry, predominantly as a Project Manager. I have always been an effective organiser and I’m really enjoying managing Jonathon’s time and building good working relationships with the team here and our clients.

Outside of work I enjoy watching sport and many years ago, I had a season ticket to watch Nottingham Forest at The City Ground but unfortunately, I don’t get the opportunity to go to many games these days. I love spending time with friends, preferably enjoying good food and a few cocktails in a nice wine bar or beer garden in the sun. I also enjoy cooking and trying new recipes, which suits my husband and 5 teenagers at home who enjoy eating. On the rare occasion that I get time to myself I like to read a good book, preferably a psychological thriller/murder mystery.

Favourite Book/Film – All books by Dani Atkins/Notting Hill

I joined Henson Crisp November 2022. Previously, I worked in marketing for a variety of businesses over the last 5 years. My role is to increase the marketing activity and put Henson Crisp at the forefront of peoples minds when it comes to talking finances. I am enjoying my role with Henson Crisp and already feel part of the team.

In my personal life I have a daughter, two-step children, a Husky and four cats so I am used to hectic household! When I have some time to myself I like to crochet and listen to true crime podcasts, with some occasional baking.

About me:

Casper bounded into the Crisp house in September 2017 literally turning it upside down. He is a Bavarian mountain hound and works alongside Jonathon when he is deer stalking. Back at home he has difficulty accepting that he is not a human being and insists on being involved with enthusiasm in all activities occurring in the Crisp home. He loves our old Labrador Ruby who doesn’t always appreciate being charged into at full speed when having a gentle stroll around the garden. Casper has adapted well to regular visits to the office and interacts well with all the team.
