Supporting Charities
& Our Community

Our Pledge to Our Clients

We value our commitment to our nominated charities and we value client referrals.  A number of our new clients are recommended to us by friends or family already represented by the Henson Crisp team.

As a valued existing client, when someone you refer chooses Henson Crisp, we pledge to make a donation to one of our nominated charities, both on behalf of yourself and on behalf of our new client.  We also offer you the opportunity to nominate a charity of your choice, should you have a personal preference.

This commitment ensures continued support for our charities, organisations and causes.

As of March 2024 we have donated a total of £54,726 to a large number of worthy causes.

At Henson Crisp we feel it is important to support charities and our local community in whatever way we can. We regularly donate to a number of charities and organisations, both local and national.

Committing to regular support over a number of years helps enable a positive difference to be made.  Forging long-term relationships with our nominated charities and local organisations echoes our ethos of building long-term relationships with our clients.

Among the charities and local organisations we support are:

The Purfleet Trust was established in 1993 to provide help for single homeless people in King’s Lynn and West Norfolk. Services offered include housing advice and support to help individuals maintain existing tenancies. There is also a Health and Wellbeing Centre which provides a daily hot meal and the opportunity to gain essential life skills. Having an address is one of the most important factors when helping individuals to move back into accommodation and off the streets. The centre can be used as a postal address and there is free access to both computers and the telephone.

The Purfleet Trust is reliant on charitable donations. Offering long-term support from Henson Crisp gives our commitment to ensure their good work can continue.

The YMCA Cambridgeshire & Peterborough has been at the heart of supporting positive change in the community since 1852. The focus has always been on building proactive and sustainable communities and emphasising support for young people. This support helps them to realise their full potential on their journey from dependence to independence.

The services provided offer opportunities for all young people, whether they are facing difficulties or are looking for a new direction. With programmes offered throughout Cambridgeshire, the YMCA is able to give young people access to local services in the heart of their communities.

Supporting the work of the YMCA is a further ongoing commitment of Henson Crisp.  We believe that young people should have access to the support they need at a local level, wherever and whenever they need it.

Macmillan Cancer Support provides support to those diagnosed with cancer and their families. They offer a variety of services from the most up-to-date information to a voice on the phone when needed the most. They ensure everyone with cancer has access to the right level of treatment and support.

The work of Macmillan Cancer Support is invaluable to those who depend on them. They are heavily reliant on donations raised through charity work. As a result, Henson Crisp strongly believes in supporting them.

As a team we work to support the Macmillan Coffee Morning, with the team bringing in cakes to share at the workplace.

Playing rugby at youth and junior level is a great way for children to develop a range of skills.

Firstly, participating in team sports aids emotional and physical development. Secondly, it gives an understanding of working as a team. As a result, involvement in sports can be a very positive experience for children of any age.

Offering our long-term support for the Huntingdon Stags is key to ensuring that children in our local communities continue to have access to team rugby, training and tournaments.

Great Ormond Street Hospital provides world-class care to over 600 children every day. The hospital is heavily reliant upon charitable donations. As a result, they need to raise roughly £100 million each year to help give hope to seriously ill children and their families.

At Henson Crisp we believe in the outstanding work of Great Ormond Street Hospital. Therefore, a regular commitment of support is our opportunity to contribute.

Peterborough Cathedral has charitable status and receives no direct funding from the state or from the local parish.  On average it costs £3,500 a day to maintain the full operation of the Cathedral throughout the year.

Peterborough Cathedral has embarked on ambitious plans to support local communities through museum tours held within the Cathedral.  This programme brings access to knowledge and learning from around the UK direct to our local community.

With our Peterborough office based only a short walk from the Cathedral, we believe in pledging regular support to ensure it can continue its work. Click here to read about our 15 year anniversary event.
