Our Financial Planning Process
Financial planning helps you determine your short, medium and long-term financial goals and create a carefully considered plan to meet those goals.
Where does the process start?
It starts with you, we sit and listen.
After we've met up, we will gather further information in order to produce a more in depth analysis on your financial situation. We wont just be looking at personal information (family, employment) but also details of existing assets (property, investments, pensions) and liabilities (mortgage, loans).
We will also be asking about your short, medium and longer term goals and then ranking them in order of their importance to you.
Attitude to risk
Your attitude to risk is something we will need to know about when advising you on investment opportunities.
Some people are happy to live with calculated risks if it means the chance of a higher return, whereas others are risk averse and don't want to risk their capital under any circumstances.
Your attitude to risk will form the basis of all our saving and investment recommendations.
Developing your financial plan
Once we have all the information we need, we'll go over the recommendations with you to help you understand them, in order to make informed decisions. We will then listen to your concerns and revise any recommendations as appropriate.
Implementing financial planning recommendations
To help with the implementation of a financial plan, we can advise you on any tasks that you will need to accomplish in order to improve your financial situation. We will then help you carry out the recommendations, coordinating the process with you.
Reviewing your plan
On a regular basis, we will review and update your financial plan to take into account any changes in your goals or circumstances.
