Henson Crisp independent financial advisers in Peterborough and Cambridge
We value our commitment to our nominated charities and we value client referrals. A number of our new clients are recommended to us by friends or family already represented by the Henson Crisp team.

As a valued existing client, when someone you refer chooses Henson Crisp, we pledge to make a donation to one of our nominated charities, both on behalf of yourself and on behalf of our new client. We also offer you the opportunity to nominate a charity of your choice, should you have a personal preference.

This commitment ensures continued support for our charities, organisations and causes.
We believe businesses should play a positive role in the communities they serve. Our commitment goes beyond the work we do every day, it’s about supporting local people, championing community activities, and giving back in meaningful, practical ways. This page brings together the promises we make to our clients and the contributions we make to our community throughout the year.

Our referral pledge

Our referral pledge is our way of saying thank you to the people who recommend us. We know that trust is earned, and when someone chooses to refer us, we take that responsibility seriously.

What the referral pledge means

When a client refers someone to us, we make a donation on their behalf. It’s a simple, transparent way to give back while recognising the trust placed in us.

How it works

- When you refer a family member, friend, or colleague, we'll make a £100 donation, once they have appointed us as their financial adviser.

- There are no limits to how many referrals you can make.

- Each donation goes directly to a local cause, charity or community initiative of your choosing.

Our commitment to transparency

The process is clear, fair and straightfoward with no hidden conditions. This is just our way of saying thank you and it also benefits our community.

Once we are appointed, we will ask you who you would like the donation to go to, and send you proof of this once the donation is made.
Our nominated charities are Great Ormond Street Hospital and The Purfleet Trust, whom we donate to regularly.

Supporting local sports & youth teams

We're proud to sponsor local sports teams and youth clubs. Access to sports from a young age plays a vital role in building confidence, teamwork, and an opportunity for young people, and we're committed to helping it thrive.

Why we support local sport

Community sport brings people together. It creates safe spaces for young people to grow, learn, and stay active. Our sponsorships provide these teams with the resources they need.

What this support enables

Our contributions help young players access opportunities they may not otherwise have, from joining a team for the first time to competing in regional events.

We currently support a number of local youth and community teams, providing funding for:

- Team kits

- Equipment

- Training resources

- Tournament and league fees

Our current sponsorships

We currently support a number of local youth and community teams including:
Community commitment - Peterborough Rugby Union Football Club PRUFC

Annual food bank donations

Each year, instead of sending Christmas cards, we donate to a local cause. The last two years we have chosen to support The Trussell Trust by donating food to the food bank. It's a small change that makes a much bigger difference.

Why we donate instead of sending cards

January can be a difficult time for many families. By redirecting our Christmas card budget, we are able to support The Trussell Trust, who provide essential help when it is needed most.

As an anti-poverty charity, The Trussell Trust's mission is to ensure no one in the UK needs a food bank to survive. Last year, their food banks distributed 2.9 million emergency food parcels across the UK.

Our impact so far

Every year, our donation helps stock shelves, fill parcels, and support the volunteers who make these services possible. We update this section annually to reflect our ongoing contributions.

The last two years our donations have equated to approximately 620 meals.
